St. Joseph-Ogden Spartans (St. Joseph, IL) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Maroa-Forsyth Trojans (Maroa, IL), 63-46 in a non-league bout.

With the win, St. Joseph-Ogden upgrades its record to 14-4 on the season. The Spartans travel to Prairie Central (Fairbury, IL) to play the Hawks in a Illini Prairie bout on Tuesday, January 16. The Hawks go into the bout with a record of 13-4.

Next up, the Trojans play the Rochester Rockets (Rochester, IL) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 16. Maroa-Forsyth will attempt to upgrade on its 10-6 season record. The Rockets go into the bout with a 9-12 record after their 61-51 non-league loss to Jacksonville (Jacksonville, IL).
