In Saturday's non-league match, the visiting Maxwell Bears basketball team scored a good 56-47 triumph over the Reserve Mountaineers.
In their next game, the Bears meet the Cliff Cowboys/Cowgirls (Cliff, NM) in a non-league match, on Thursday, January 18. Maxwell will attempt to move on its 5-3 season record. The Cowboys/Cowgirls enter the match with a 11-0 record after their 46-32 non-league win over Cobre (Bayard, NM).
With the defeat, Reserve moves to 2-11 on the year. The Mountaineers host Hatch Valley (Hatch, NM) to confront the Bears in a non-league challenge on Thursday, January 18. The Bears come into the challenge with a record of 4-5.
