The Middletown Blue Dragons basketball team scored 81 points and held the host Portland Highlanders to 56 in the Blue Dragons non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Blue Dragons now sport a 4-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hall for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 16. Middletown will face a Titans team coming off a 75-60 league win over Southington (Southington, CT). The Titans record now stands at 6-3.

With the defeat, Portland moves to 3-7 on the year. The Highlanders host Morgan (Clinton, CT) to face the Huskies in a Shoreline game on Tuesday, January 16. The Huskies enter the game with a record of 7-1. Morgan lost 49-45 in their recent league game against Coginchaug Regional (Durham, CT)
