    In Saturday's non-league outing, the Mountain Valley Falcons (Rumford, ME) basketball squad felled the visiting Winthrop Ramblers (Winthrop, ME), by a margin of 60-48.

    The Falcons (5-5) will now prepare for their outing against Maranacook (Readfield, ME). The Black Bears go into the non-league outing with a 7-1 record.

    The Ramblers now own a 5-4 record. They play next when they travel to Old Orchard Beach for a C South outing on Monday, January 15. Winthrop will encounter a Seagulls squad coming off a 61-40 non-league loss to St. Dominic (Lewiston, ME). The Seagulls record now stands at 4-5.
