Northern Highlands Highlanders (Allendale, NJ) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Ramsey Rams (Ramsey, NJ), 41-35 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Northern Highlands upgrades its record to 8-4 on the campaign. The Highlanders travel to Paramus (Paramus, NJ) to play the Spartans in a Big North - Independence bout on Tuesday, January 16. The Spartans come into the bout with a record of 2-6. Paramus lost 65-51 in their recent non-league bout against Hackensack (Hackensack, NJ)

Next up, the Rams play the Indian Hills Braves (Oakland, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 16. Ramsey will attempt to upgrade on its 10-1 season record. The Braves come into the bout with a 4-5 record after their 60-55 non-league loss to Westwood (Washington Township, NJ).
