Shoals Jug Rox (Shoals, IN) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Perry Central Commodores (Leopold, IN), 50-35 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Shoals upgrades its record to 8-7 on the season. The Jug Rox travel to Wood Memorial (Oakland City, IN) to play the Trojans in a Blue Chip bout on Saturday, January 20. The Trojans go into the bout with a record of 6-5.

Next up, the Commodores play the Orleans Bulldogs (Orleans, IN) in a Patoka Lake bout, on Friday, January 19. Perry Central will attempt to upgrade on its 4-10 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 10-2 record after their 60-23 non-league win over Lanesville (Lanesville, IN).
