Royal Knights (Royal City, WA) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Quincy Jackrabbits (Quincy, WA), 49-47 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Royal upgrades its record to 10-4 on the campaign. The Knights host College Place (College Place, WA) to play the Hawks in a 1A South Central - East bout on Tuesday, January 16. The Hawks come into the bout with a record of 3-9.

Next up, the Jackrabbits play the Cascade Kodiaks (Leavenworth, WA) in a 1A Caribou Trail bout, on Tuesday, January 16. Quincy will attempt to upgrade on its 10-5 season record. The Kodiaks come into the bout with a 1-10 record after their 57-17 league loss to Cashmere (Cashmere, WA).
