St. Benedict's Prep Gray Bees (Newark, NJ) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Rutgers Prep Argonauts (Somerset, NJ), 60-50 in a non-league bout.

With the win, St. Benedict's Prep upgrades its record to 7-4 on the season. The Gray Bees travel to St. Joseph (Metuchen, NJ) to play the Falcons in a non-league bout on Sunday, January 14. The Falcons go into the bout with a record of 8-1.

Next up, the Argonauts play the Immaculata Spartans (Somerville, NJ) in a Skyland - Delaware bout, on Tuesday, January 16. Rutgers Prep will attempt to upgrade on its 7-4 season record. The Spartans go into the bout with a 5-5 record after their 59-36 non-league win over Vernon (Vernon, NJ).
