William Penn Charter Quakers (Philadelphia, PA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting St. Stephen's & St. Agnes Saints (Alexandria, VA), 60-52 in a non-league bout.
With the win, William Penn Charter upgrades its record to 6-6 on the season. The Quakers host Malvern Prep (Malvern, PA) to play the Friars in a Inter-Academic bout on Tuesday, January 16. The Friars go into the bout with a record of 9-2. Malvern Prep won 49-35 in their recent league bout against Haverford School (Haverford, PA)
Next up, the Saints play the Riverdale Baptist Crusaders (Upper Marlboro, MD) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 15. St. Stephen's & St. Agnes will attempt to upgrade on its 7-6 season record. The Crusaders go into the bout with a 16-9 record after their 66-50 non-league loss to Sidwell Friends (Washington, DC).
