The Sumner Spartans basketball team scored 62 points and held the host West Seattle to 52 in the Spartans non-league victory on Saturday.

With the victory, Sumner upgrades its record to 13-2 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to South Kitsap (Port Orchard, WA) to play the Wolves in a 4A South Puget Sound - North bout on Tuesday, January 16. The Wolves come into the bout with a record of 4-8. South Kitsap lost 73-64 in their recent non-league bout against Emerald Ridge (South Hill, WA)

Next up, the play the Bishop Blanchet Bears (Seattle, WA) in a 3A Metro bout, on Wednesday, January 17. West Seattle will attempt to upgrade on its 6-8 season record. The Bears come into the bout with a 3-12 record after their 65-58 league win over Lakeside (Seattle, WA).
