Devils Lake Firebirds (Devils Lake, ND) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Beulah Miners (Beulah, ND), 61-53 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Devils Lake upgrades its record to 11-3 on the season. The Firebirds travel to Grafton (Grafton, ND) to play the Spoilers in a A Region 2 bout on Tuesday, January 16. The Spoilers go into the bout with a record of 4-6.

Next up, the Miners play the Trinity Titans (Dickinson, ND) in a A Region 4 bout, on Tuesday, January 16. Beulah will attempt to upgrade on its 2-10 season record.
