The Black River Pirates (Sullivan, OH) basketball felled the host Rittman Indians (Rittman, OH), 54-35 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Pirates (7-5) will now prepare for their test against Columbia (Columbia Station, OH). The Raiders go into the Lorain County 8 test with a 12-1 record. In their last test, Columbia thwarted Clearview (Lorain, OH), 59-18, in a league test.
The Indians now own a 1-11 record. They play next when they travel to Norwayne for a Wayne County test on Thursday, January 18. Rittman will encounter a Bobcats squad coming off a 60-27 league loss to Smithville (Smithville, OH). The Bobcats record now stands at 7-5.
