The Lake Station Edison Fighting Eagles (Lake Station, IN) basketball crushed the visiting Calumet New Tech Warriors (Gary, IN), 61-26 in Saturday's league test.
The Fighting Eagles (12-5) will now prepare for their test against Andrean (Merrillville, IN). The Fighting 59ers go into the non-league test with a 8-13 record. In their last test, Andrean walloped Lowell (Lowell, IN), 50-43, in a league test.
The Warriors now own a 0-12 record. They play next when they host Illiana Christian for a Greater South Shore test on Tuesday, January 16. Calumet New Tech will encounter a Vikings squad coming off a 66-30 league win over Hammond Bishop Noll (Hammond, IN). The Vikings record now stands at 9-8.
