Jasper County Hurricanes (Monticello, GA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host East Jackson Eagles (Commerce, GA), 47-46 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Jasper County upgrades its record to 4-8 on the season. The Hurricanes travel to Pike County (Zebulon, GA) to play the Pirates in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 18. The Pirates go into the bout with a record of 7-3.

Next up, the Eagles play the Alpharetta Raiders (Alpharetta, GA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 15. East Jackson will attempt to upgrade on its 6-9 season record.
