Jasper Wildcats (Jasper, IN) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Evansville North Huskies (Evansville, IN), 51-37 in a league bout.

With the win, Jasper upgrades its record to 14-6 on the season. The Wildcats host Boonville (Boonville, IN) to clash with the Pioneers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 16. The Pioneers go into the bout with a record of 3-16. Boonville lost 56-49 in their recent league bout against Tell City (Tell City, IN)

Next up, the Huskies clash with the Washington Hatchets (Washington, IN) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 17. Evansville North will attempt to upgrade on its 13-6 season record. The Hatchets go into the bout with a 17-4 record after their 62-42 league loss to Gibson Southern (Fort Branch, IN).
