San Carlos Braves (San Carlos, AZ) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Fort Thomas Apaches (Fort Thomas, AZ), 56-40 in a non-league bout.

With the win, San Carlos upgrades its record to 13-2 on the season. The Braves travel to San Tan Charter (Gilbert, AZ) to clash with the Roadrunners in a 2A Valley bout on Tuesday, January 16. The Roadrunners go into the bout with a record of 2-12. San Tan Charter lost 40-20 in their recent non-league bout against Highland Prep (Surprise, AZ)

Next up, the Apaches clash with the Dishchii'bikoh Wildcats (Cibecue, AZ) in a 1A Copper bout, on Tuesday, January 16. Fort Thomas will attempt to upgrade on its 13-8 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 5-6 record after their 50-14 league win over Superior (Superior, AZ).
