Lake Marion Gators (Santee, SC) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Swansea Tigers (Swansea, SC), 41-20 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Lake Marion upgrades its record to 5-7 on the season. The Gators travel to Academic Magnet (North Charleston, SC) to clash with the Raptors in a AA Region 7 bout on Tuesday, January 16. The Raptors go into the bout with a record of 4-13. Academic Magnet lost 57-39 in their recent non-league bout against Crestwood (Sumter, SC)

Next up, the Tigers clash with the Orangeburg-Wilkinson Bruins (Orangeburg, SC) in a AAA Region 5 bout, on Monday, January 15. Swansea will attempt to upgrade on its 4-7 season record. The Bruins go into the bout with a 13-2 record after their 52-14 non-league win over Columbia (Columbia, SC).
