Ohio High School Basketball - Meigs nips Southern

Meigs Marauders (Pomeroy, OH) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Southern Tornadoes (Racine, OH), 45-42 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Meigs upgrades its record to 5-9 on the campaign. The Marauders travel to Federal Hocking (Stewart, OH) to play the Lancers in a non-league bout on Monday, January 15. The Lancers come into the bout with a record of 10-3. Federal Hocking won 66-37 in their recent league bout against Belpre (Belpre, OH)
Next up, the Tornadoes play the Ravenswood Red Devils (Ravenswood, WV) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 16. Southern will attempt to upgrade on its 3-9 season record. The Red Devils come into the bout with a 8-5 record after their 60-28 league win over Ritchie County (Ellenboro, WV).
