West Virginia High School Basketball - Nitro trounces Philip Barbour

January 13, 2024: Nitro, WV 25143

The Nitro Wildcats (Nitro, WV) basketball crushed the visiting Philip Barbour Colts (Philippi, WV), 81-59 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Wildcats (9-2) will now prepare for their test against Logan (Logan, WV). The Wildcats go into the Cardinal test with a 6-6 record. In their last test, Logan was trounced by Wayne (Wayne, WV), 68-34, in a league test.

The Colts now own a 9-2 record. They play next when they travel to Lincoln for a Big Ten test on Tuesday, January 16. Philip Barbour will encounter a Cougars squad coming off a 54-48 non-league win over Martinsburg (Martinsburg, WV). The Cougars record now stands at 7-5.
