Fans at Saturday's league challenge between the Pacific Ridge Firebirds (Carlsbad, CA) and the visiting Sweetwater Red Devils (National City, CA), saw Pacific Ridge's basketball squad wallop Sweetwater by a count of 62-24.

With the victory, Pacific Ridge upgrades its record to 9-8 on the campaign. The Firebirds travel to Classical Academy (Escondido, CA) to play the Caimans in a Freelance challenge on Tuesday, January 16. The Caimans come into the challenge with a record of 5-7. Classical Academy lost 66-9 in their recent league challenge against Bishop's (La Jolla, CA)

Next up, the Red Devils play the Mar Vista Mariners (Imperial Beach, CA) in a Freelance challenge, on Wednesday, January 17. Sweetwater will attempt to upgrade on its 4-8 season record. The Mariners come into the challenge with a 4-7 record after their 37-25 league win over Castle Park (Chula Vista, CA).
