The Yazoo City Indians basketball team scored 52 points and restricted the visiting Warren Central Vikings to 13 in the Indians non-league victory on Saturday.
The Indians now sport a 13-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Holmes County Central for a 5A Region 2 contest on Tuesday, January 16. Yazoo City will battle a Jaguars team coming off a 37-35 non-league loss to Terry (Terry, MS). The Jaguars record now stands at 15-6.
The Vikings (0-23) will now prepare for their contest against Vicksburg (Vicksburg, MS). The Gators come into the 6A Region 2 contest with a 7-15 record. In their last contest, Vicksburg triumphed over Ridgeland (Ridgeland, MS), 56-51, in a league contest.
