Spruce Creek Hawks (Port Orange, FL) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting New Smyrna Beach Barracudas (New Smyrna Beach, FL), 66-52 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Spruce Creek upgrades its record to 3-3 on the season. The Hawks travel to University (Orange City, FL) to clash with the Titans in a bout on Wednesday, January 17. The Titans go into the bout with a record of 4-11. University lost 58-50 in their recent league bout against DeLand (DeLand, FL)

Next up, the Barracudas clash with the Halifax Academy Knights (Daytona Beach, FL) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 16. New Smyrna Beach will attempt to upgrade on its 5-5 season record. The Knights go into the bout with a 3-4 record after their 51-38 non-league loss to Crooms Academy (Sanford, FL).
