Next, the Lobos confront the Mesquite Skeeters (Mesquite, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 18. Longview will attempt to move on its 5-3 season record. The Skeeters enter the challenge with a 6-0 record after their 4-2 non-league win over Skyline (Dallas, TX).

The Bulldogs now possess a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they host New Diana for a 4A Region 2 District 15 challenge on Friday, January 19. Carthage will confront a Eagles team coming off a 7-0 non-league loss to Pittsburg (Pittsburg, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 0-5.
