The Posen Vikings basketball squad (Posen, MI), was crushed 71-44 in Monday's league battle with the host Alcona Tigers (Lincoln, MI)

With the victory, Alcona advances its record to 8-2 on the year. The Tigers travel to Rogers City (Rogers City, MI) to meet the Hurons in a North Star battle on Thursday, January 16. The Hurons enter the battle with a record of 7-2. Rogers City won 66-39 in their recent league battle against Whittemore-Prescott (Whittemore, MI)

The Vikings now own a 2-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Au Gres-Sims for a North Star battle on Tuesday, January 14. Posen will meet a Wolverines squad coming off a 59-47 league loss to Hale (Hale, MI). The Wolverines record now stands at 4-4.
