In Monday's non-league contest, the host Beulah Miners basketball team scored a good 69-56 triumph over the New Town Eagles.

The Miners (7-2) will now prepare for their contest against Central Cass (Casselton, ND). The Squirrels go into the non-league contest with a 2-5 record. In their last contest, Central Cass was topped by Thompson (Thompson, ND), 58-56, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Eagles battle the Killdeer Cowboys (Killdeer, ND) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, January 16. New Town will attempt to better on its 5-4 season record. The Cowboys go into the contest with a 8-1 record after their 79-55 non-league win over Hettinger/Scranton (Hettinger, ND).
