In Monday's league contest, the host Birch Run Panthers basketball team scored a close 51-48 triumph over the Hill-McCloy Rams.

The Panthers (5-6) will now prepare for their contest against Chesaning (Chesaning, MI). The Indians go into the Mid-Michigan contest with a 7-3 record. In their last contest, Chesaning nipped Valley Lutheran (Saginaw, MI), 41-28, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Rams battle the Lakeville Falcons (Otisville, MI) in a Mid-Michigan contest, on Thursday, January 16. Hill-McCloy will attempt to better on its 3-6 season record. The Falcons go into the contest with a 3-8 record after their 73-27 league loss to Ovid-Elsie (Elsie, MI).
