The Central Square Redhawks basketball team scored 44 points and limited the host Cato-Meridian Blue Devils to 43 in the Redhawks non-league triumph on Monday.

The Redhawks now have a 2-5 record. They play next when they travel to East Syracuse-Minoa for a Section 3 Salt City - Empire game on Thursday, January 16. Central Square will confront a Spartans team coming off a 61-53 league loss to Jamesville-DeWitt (DeWitt, NY). The Spartans record now stands at 3-6.

With the loss, Cato-Meridian falls to 6-4 on the campaign. The Blue devils host Hannibal (Hannibal, NY) to confront the Warriors in a Section 3 Onondaga - Patriot National game on Wednesday, January 15. The Warriors go into the game with a record of 0-8. Hannibal lost 61-45 in their recent league game against Port Byron (Port Byron, NY)
