Illinois High School Basketball - Central defeats Freeport

The Central Rockets (Burlington, IL) basketball were winner over the host Freeport Pretzels (Freeport, IL), 72-53 in Monday's non-league bout.

The Rockets now possess a 12-5 record. They play next when they travel to Cary-Grove for a Fox Valley bout on Tuesday, January 14. Central will play a Trojans team coming off a 49-47 non-league win over Vernon Hills (Vernon Hills, IL). The Trojans record now stands at 13-5.

With the loss, Freeport falls to 7-11 on the campaign. The Pretzels travel to Belvidere North (Belvidere, IL) to play the Blue Thunder in a Northern Illinois 10 bout on Wednesday, January 15. The Blue Thunder go into the bout with a record of 6-12. Belvidere North lost 52-33 in their recent league bout against Hononegah (Rockton, IL)
