In Monday's non-league contest, the host Fall River Pirates basketball team scored a close 50-45 triumph over the Columbus Cardinals.
The Pirates (4-9) will now prepare for their contest against Markesan (Markesan, WI). The Hornets go into the Trailways - West contest with a 6-4 record. In their last contest, Markesan nipped North Fond du Lac (North Fond du Lac, WI), 72-34, in a non-league contest.
