Florida High School Basketball - Everglades thwarts Hallandale

The crowd at Monday's non-league challenge between the Everglades Gators (Miramar, FL) and the host Hallandale Chargers (Hallandale, FL), observed Everglades's basketball team knock off Hallandale by a score of 59-41.

The Gators (10-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Fort Lauderdale (Fort Lauderdale, FL). The Flying L's come into the non-league challenge with a 9-3 record. In their last challenge, Fort Lauderdale prevailed over Deerfield Beach (Deerfield Beach, FL), 62-56, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Chargers encounter the Pompano Beach Golden Tornadoes (Pompano Beach, FL) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 14. Hallandale will attempt to improve on its 6-13 season record. The Golden Tornadoes come into the challenge with a 2-12 record after their 61-41 non-league loss to Braddock (Miami, FL).
