In Monday's non-league contest, the host Killdeer Cowboys basketball team scored a big 79-55 triumph over the Hettinger/Scranton Black Devils.
The Cowboys (8-1) will now prepare for their contest against New Town (New Town, ND). The Eagles go into the non-league contest with a 5-4 record. In their last contest, New Town was trounced by Beulah (Beulah, ND), 69-56, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Black Devils battle the Beach Buccaneers (Beach, ND) in a B District 7 contest, on Friday, January 17. Hettinger/Scranton will attempt to better on its 3-4 season record. The Buccaneers go into the contest with a 5-4 record after their 61-41 non-league win over Wibaux (Wibaux, MT).
