In Monday's non-league test, the New Athens Yellow Jackets (New Athens, IL) basketball squad defeated the host Saxony Lutheran Crusaders (Jackson, MO), by a score of 75-57.

Next, the Yellow Jackets clash with the Chester Yellowjackets (Chester, IL) in a non-league test, on Wednesday, January 15. New Athens will attempt to improve on its 11-4 season record.

The Crusaders (3-8) will now prepare for their test against Doniphan (Doniphan, MO). The Dons come into the non-league test with a 6-7 record.
