Ohio High School Basketball - Van Buren thwarts Port Clinton

January 13, 2025: Port Clinton, OH 43452

The crowd at Monday's non-league challenge between the Van Buren Black Knights (Van Buren, OH) and the host Port Clinton Redskins (Port Clinton, OH), observed Van Buren's basketball team knock off Port Clinton by a score of 58-40.

The Black Knights (7-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Ada (Ada, OH). The Bulldogs come into the Blanchard Valley challenge with a 9-5 record. In their last challenge, Ada was knocked off by Upper Scioto Valley (McGuffey, OH), 66-50, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Redskins encounter the Huron Tigers (Huron, OH) in a Sandusky Bay - Bay challenge, on Friday, January 17. Port Clinton will attempt to improve on its 5-7 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 9-3 record after their 60-50 non-league win over Western Reserve (Collins, OH).
