The Mt. Carmel Cubs (New Orleans, LA) basketball edged the host Glen Oaks Panthers (Baton Rouge, LA), 41-36 in Monday's non-league bout.
The Cubs now possess a 12-4 record. They play next when they travel to Edna Karr for a 5A District 9 bout on Thursday, January 16. Mt. Carmel will play a Cougars team coming off a 71-54 non-league win over Amite (Amite, LA). The Cougars record now stands at 20-3.
With the loss, Glen Oaks falls to 9-11 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Central (Baton Rouge, LA) to play the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 14. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 3-4. Central won 50-19 in their recent non-league bout against Belaire (Baton Rouge, LA)
