The Knights (13-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Iowa (Iowa, LA). The Yellowjackets come into the non-league challenge with a 14-6 record. In their last challenge, Iowa defeated Peabody (Alexandria, LA), 58-40, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Hornets battle the Washington-Marion Charging Indians (Lake Charles, LA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 16. Plainview will attempt to better on its 18-5 season record. The Charging Indians come into the challenge with a 5-12 record after their 49-43 non-league loss to Kinder (Kinder, LA).
