Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Purchase Line sneaks past United

January 13, 2025: Commodore, PA 15729

The Purchase Line Red Dragons (Commodore, PA) basketball edged the visiting United Lions (Armagh, PA), 42-36 in Monday's league bout.

The Red Dragons now possess a 8-5 record. They play next when they travel to Northern Cambria for a Heritage bout on Wednesday, January 15. Purchase Line will play a Colts team coming off a 70-10 league loss to River Valley (Blairsville, PA). The Colts record now stands at 0-10.

With the loss, United falls to 5-7 on the campaign. The Lions host West Shamokin (Rural Valley, PA) to play the Wolves in a Heritage bout on Wednesday, January 15. The Wolves go into the bout with a record of 3-8. West Shamokin lost 45-26 in their recent league bout against Cambria Heights (Patton, PA)
