Fans at Monday's non-league battle between the Southside Sharks (Youngsville, LA) and the visiting Thibodaux Tigers (Thibodaux, LA), saw Southside's soccer squad hold off Thibodaux by a count of 2-1.

The Sharks (6-11) will now prepare for their battle against Acadiana (Lafayette, LA). The Rams enter the battle with a 6-8 record. In their last battle, Acadiana was edged by Barbe (Lake Charles, LA), 8-0, in a league battle.

Next up, the Tigers battle the Terrebonne Tigers (Houma, LA) in a Division I District 6 battle, on Friday, January 17. Thibodaux will attempt to upgrade on its 12-4 season record. The Tigers enter the battle with a 10-9 record after their 8-0 league loss to Hahnville (Boutte, LA).
