In Friday's non-league outing, the Yelm Tornados (Yelm, WA) basketball squad edged the visiting Central Kitsap Cougars (Silverdale, WA), by a count of 52-50.
The Tornados (1-4) will now prepare for their outing against Peninsula (Gig Harbor, WA). The Seahawks go into the non-league outing with a 6-3 record.
The Cougars now hold a 2-8 record. They play next when they travel to North Thurston for a non-league outing on Monday, January 17. Central Kitsap will clash with a Rams squad coming off a 43-38 non-league loss to Peninsula (Gig Harbor, WA). The Rams record now stands at 6-2.
