In Saturday's non-league outing, the New Town (Owings Mills, MD) basketball squad beat the visiting Aliquippa Quips (Aliquippa, PA), by a count of 59-41.
The (9-2) will now prepare for their outing against Eastern Tech (Baltimore, MD). The Mavericks go into the Baltimore County 2 outing with a 4-6 record.
The Quips now hold a 7-3 record. They play next when they travel to Harrisburg for a non-league outing on Sunday, January 15. Aliquippa will clash with a Cougars squad coming off a 77-67 non-league loss to Milton Hershey (Hershey, PA). The Cougars record now stands at 0-11.
