Manalapan Braves (Englishtown, NJ) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Allentown Redbirds (Allentown, NJ), 66-63 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Manalapan upgrades its record to 6-6 on the season. The Braves host Howell (Farmingdale, NJ) to play the Rebels in a Shore A - North bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Rebels go into the bout with a record of 4-8. Howell lost 50-42 in their recent non-league bout against Middletown South (Middletown, NJ)

Next up, the Redbirds play the Hightstown Rams (Hightstown, NJ) in a Colonial Valley bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Allentown will attempt to upgrade on its 5-8 season record.
