In Saturday's non-league outing, the Western Christian Pioneers (Salem, OR) basketball squad beat the host Amity Warriors (Amity, OR), by a count of 69-53.

The Pioneers (11-3) will now prepare for their outing against Culver (Culver, OR). The Bulldogs go into the 2A Tri-River outing with a 2-9 record. In their last outing, Culver was topped by Kennedy (Mt. Angel, OR), 69-20, in a league outing.

The Warriors now hold a 7-7 record. They play next when they travel to Horizon Christian for a non-league outing on Monday, January 16. Amity will clash with a Hawks squad coming off a 80-47 league loss to De La Salle North Catholic (Portland, OR). The Hawks record now stands at 4-10.
