The Antelope Valley Antelopes basketball team (Lancaster, CA), was nudged 55-54 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host Vasquez Mustangs (Acton, CA)

The Mustangs now possess a 8-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Santa Clarita Christian for a Heritage battle on Tuesday, January 17. Vasquez will confront a Cardinals team coming off a 66-33 league win over The Palmdale Aerospace Academy (Palmdale, CA). The Cardinals record now stands at 9-6.

The Antelopes (7-14) will now prepare for their battle against St. Monica Academy (Montrose, CA). The Crusaders come into the non-league battle with a 7-11 record. In their last battle, St. Monica Academy was nudged by More (San Jose, CA), 69-49, in a non-league battle.
