Winston-Salem Prep Phoenix (Winston-Salem, NC) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Atkins Camels (Winston-Salem, NC), 88-60 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Winston-Salem Prep upgrades its record to 7-6 on the season. The Phoenix host Cornerstone Charter (Greensboro, NC) to clash with the Cardinals in a 1A Conference 32 bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Cardinals go into the bout with a record of 12-1. Cornerstone Charter lost 75-30 in their recent league bout against Bishop McGuinness (Kernersville, NC)

Next up, the Camels clash with the Ben L. Smith Golden Eagles (Greensboro, NC) in a 3A Conference 46 bout, on Wednesday, January 18. Atkins will attempt to upgrade on its 5-11 season record. The Golden Eagles go into the bout with a 14-3 record after their 68-59 non-league win over Green Run (Virginia Beach, VA).
