Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Borden Braves (Borden, IN) and the visiting Charlestown Pirates (Charlestown, IN), saw Borden's basketball squad hold off Charlestown by a count of 61-59.

With the victory, Borden upgrades its record to 11-4 on the campaign. The Braves host Henryville (Henryville, IN) to play the Hornets in a Southern challenge on Saturday, January 21. The Hornets come into the challenge with a record of 9-3.

Next up, the Pirates play the Eastern Musketeers (Pekin, IN) in a Mid-Southern challenge, on Friday, January 20. Charlestown will attempt to upgrade on its 7-7 season record. The Musketeers come into the challenge with a 12-2 record after their 53-47 non-league win over Paoli (Paoli, IN).
