In Saturday's non-league match, the host Cliff Cowboys/Cowgirls basketball team scored a decisive 78-21 triumph over the Carrizozo Grizzlies.
In their next game, the Cowboys/Cowgirls meet the Animas Panthers (Animas, NM) in a A District 2 match, on Thursday, January 19. Cliff will attempt to better on its 11-3 season record.
With the defeat, Carrizozo moves to 1-14 on the year. The Grizzlies travel to Alamo Navajo (Magdalena, NM) to meet the Cougars in a A District 3 battle on Tuesday, January 17.
