Georgia High School Basketball - Etowah nips Cedar Grove

Etowah Eagles (Woodstock, GA) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Cedar Grove Saints (Ellenwood, GA), 77-72 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Etowah upgrades its record to 11-7 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Woodstock (Woodstock, GA) to play the Wolverines in a AAAAAA Region 6 bout on Friday, January 20. The Wolverines come into the bout with a record of 4-15.
Next up, the Saints play the Heritage Hawks (Newnan, GA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 16. Cedar Grove will attempt to upgrade on its 11-4 season record. The Hawks come into the bout with a 9-6 record after their 62-61 non-league win over Creekside Christian Academy (McDonough, GA).
