Colorado High School Basketball - Central thwarts Cherokee Trail

January 14, 2023: Aurora, CO 80016

The Central Indians (Cheyenne, WY) basketball knocked off the host Cherokee Trail Cougars (Aurora, CO), 72-61 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Indians (10-2) will now prepare for their test against South (Cheyenne, WY). The Bison go into the 4A Southeast test with a 4-7 record. In their last test, South notched a victory over Wheatland (Wheatland, WY), 48-45, in a non-league test.

The Cougars now own a 4-8 record. They play next when they travel to Grandview for a 6A Centennial test on Wednesday, January 18. Cherokee Trail will encounter a Wolves team coming off a 51-45 non-league win over Rangeview (Aurora, CO). The Wolves record now stands at 6-5.
