The New Hope Christian Academy Statesmen (Circleville, OH) basketball nipped the host Cincinnati Christian Cougars (Fairfield, OH), 69-65 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Statesmen (8-3) will now prepare for their test against Newark Catholic (Newark, OH). The Green Wave go into the non-league test with a 2-10 record.

The Cougars now own a 11-1 record. They play next when they host North College Hill for a Freelance test on Tuesday, January 17. Cincinnati Christian will encounter a Trojans squad coming off a 44-42 non-league win over Clark Montessori (Cincinnati, OH). The Trojans record now stands at 3-9.
