Decorah-North Winneshiek Vikings (Decorah, IA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Wahlert Golden Eagles (Dubuque, IA), 60-59 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Decorah-North Winneshiek upgrades its record to 7-5 on the season. The Vikings travel to Crestwood (Cresco, IA) to play the Cadets in a Northeast Iowa bout on Friday, January 20. The Cadets go into the bout with a record of 10-3.

Next up, the Golden Eagles play the Washington Warriors (Cedar Rapids, IA) in a Mississippi Valley bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Wahlert will attempt to upgrade on its 5-7 season record.
