The DeKalb Barbs basketball team (DeKalb, IL), was nudged 62-55 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Lyons Lions (LaGrange, IL)

The Lions now possess a 16-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Marian Central Catholic for a non-league battle on Saturday, January 14. Lyons will battle a Hurricanes team coming off a 74-45 league loss to Carmel (Mundelein, IL). The Hurricanes record now stands at 7-12.

The Barbs (13-6) will now prepare for their battle against Metea Valley (Aurora, IL). The Mustangs come into the DuPage Valley battle with a 14-6 record. In their last battle, Metea Valley was nudged by Normal Community (Normal, IL), 76-67, in a non-league battle.
